Splendide programme proposant de redécouvrir les œuvres magistrales de Beethoven, les sonates Clair de lune et La Tempête ainsi que les 32 Variations, en regard d’œuvres de Haydn et de Haendel, deux grands compositeurs pourtant peu cités dans le panthéon formateur et structurant du génie de Beethoven. Cet enregistrement est le premier réalisé sur le magnifique piano Opus 102 de Stephen Paulello, nouvelle conception retrouvant la parallélité des cordes des premiers pianos de l’histoire.
A splendid program that proposes to rediscover among the masterpieces of Beethoven the two sonatas Clair de Lune and The Tempest and the 32 Variations, drawing comparison with works by Haydn and Handel, who are less recognized as constituents of the musical universe that shaped and structured Beethoven's genius. The recording was the first made on Stephen Paulello's magnificent Opus 102 piano, whose newly conceived design reembraces the parallel strings of history's first pianos.
